We’re very pleased to announce that our CEO Julia Salasky is featured as part of The Lawyer Hot 100 for 2022!
According to The Lawyer, “In the competitive start-up community, it is hard to get an idea to take off. Julia Salasky had two – and both have become fast-growing legal tech ventures.
A former Linklaters and UN lawyer, entrepreneur Salasky is fresh off a $7m venture capital fundraising into her latest company Legl, a platform that simplifies law firms’ internal processes.
She launched the business in 2019 after the successful development of CrowdJustice, a website that seeks to improve access to justice with crowdfunding campaigns for legal causes. CrowdJustice started as a side project, until it grew so fast she had to quit her job at the UN and become a full-time CEO. Since launching in 2015, over £26m have been raised through CrowdJustice for legal fees.
Dealing with law firms through that platform, Salasky noticed that there was room for improvement in their client experience. The idea led to Legl, which offers client lifecycle management solutions for onboarding, automated due diligence, and tools for payments and reconciliation. The platform is integrated with case and practice management systems, providing insights and audit trails on all client work to better comply with regulations. Legl can reduce payment times from weeks to 12 hours, with client onboarding also cut to a staggering six minutes thanks to digital ID verification.”
Congratulations to Julia, and to all members of the Hot 100!
