Every update at Legl is built on three principles: it should make your work faster, be tailored to your firm, and automate low-impact work. Our latest set of updates improves all three.
Here's what's new, and what each change means for your firm.
A faster onboarding experience for your clients
Your clients now get an optimised onboarding experience they can finish in minutes. Progress is tracked and saved as they go, so a client who steps away doesn't lose their place or have to start again.
For your firm, improved onboarding means more first-time completions. The easier it is for a client to finish onboarding, the less time your team spends chasing missing information..
A review experience that surfaces what matters first
When a client's information comes back for review, the new review screen puts flagged issues first, so your team sees what needs attention straight away. Document captures, personal data and identity checks are laid out clearly, and your team can accept, correct or escalate in fewer clicks.
Reviewers can also add comments as they work, and every action is recorded. That gives your firm a clear, auditable record of how each client was assessed and why.
Ongoing Monitoring that runs in the background
Ongoing Monitoring can now run searches automatically, so your team doesn’t need to Google each client. When something changes, you get a clear alert on what changed and what to do next, rather than having to go looking for it.
For your firm, that means less manual re-checking and fewer things slipping through between reviews, without adding to anyone's workload.
Personalisation that makes Legl look like your firm
Your firm’s logo and branding are now displayed more prominently during the onboarding flow, and you can update your email templates to sound like your firm.
For your clients, the experience feels like a continuation of working with your firm, not a detour into someone else's software. It's a more consistent, professional first impression when a client is getting started with you.
Risk Rules: a new premium add-on
The biggest addition is Risk Rules, a new premium add-on that gives your firm a governance layer inside Legl, rooted in your own risk policies. You set the rules for how your firm assesses and onboards clients, and Legl applies them automatically, firm-wide.
In practice, the checks you care about fire automatically based on your firm's risk policy, and clients are prompted to fix issues in real time, so problems are caught and resolved during onboarding rather than days later.
Your team stays in control of the decisions that need judgement, and every assessment leaves a defensible, auditable record of how each client was checked and why.
Risk Rules is built on the AI infrastructure already running inside Legl, not a separate system bolted on top. That means the automation behind it is the same proven technology already handling onboarding and checks for firms today. For your firm, that's radically faster onboarding, less drop-off, and time back for your team to spend on genuinely high-risk clients rather than admin.
Risk Rules is a premium add-on, available to a limited number of firms each week with hands-on setup. If you'd like to go live, register your interest here and the team will walk you through what's involved.
More to come
Taken together, these updates do what every Legl update sets out to do: make your work faster, fit it around your firm, and take the routine tasks off your team's plate. And this is just the start, with many more updates on the way in the months ahead.
The platform upgrades are live now, with nothing for your firm to set up.
